Wet Dust and Fume Collectors

Health & Safety Wet collectors are designed for highly explosive or flammable dusts such as Magnesium or aluminium. Also for difficult dusts and fumes such as demerara sugar and blue rubber smoke. Collectors have also been used on zinc and aluminium metalspraying.

CW Wet Collector

Principle of Operation:
Dirt-laden air is drawn through the collector under negative pressure. The action of the air being drawn through static mixer blades immersed in water causes a vigorous mixing of the dust particles and very fine water droplets.

Droplets fall out of the air stream in the separation chamber and any final water droplets are removed by the mist eliminators. Clean air is discharged through the fan.

The separated dirt settles out in the water storage tank and can be drained off or raked out.

Options:
· Automatic rake out
· Explosion doors
· Low level alarms
· Low air flow alarm
· Automatic sludge discharge

KW Wet Collector

Principle of Operation:
The unit incorporates a circulating pump. Water from the storage tank is injected into the filter unit air inlet. Due to the high velocity of the air passing through a variable restrictor thorough mixing of the dirt laden air and fine water droplets take place.

The dust particles attach to the water droplets which then separate out of the air stream in the separation chamber.

Clean air is discharged through the fan with mist eliminators removing any remaining water droplets.

Options:
· Automatic rake out
· Explosion doors
· Low level alarms
· Low air flow alarm
· Automatic sludge discharge
